Here are some of the questions we are asked most often. If you don't find the answer you are looking for, just call 978-263-3020 or e-mail us and we'll be happy to help.

Q: How do we find you?
A: From the North:  Take Route 495 S to Route 111 (Boxboro/Harvard) exit. Take a right off the exit ramp toward Boxboro. Nashoba Valley Olympia is on your right just before the Acton town line.

From the South: Take Route 495 N to Route 111 (Boxboro/Harvard) exit. Take a left off the exit ramp toward Boxboro. Nashoba Valley Olympia is on your right just before the Acton town line.

From the East:  Take Route 2 West to the Acton Route 111 exit (exit is on left). Stay on Route 111 thru Rte 27 traffic light and W. Acton center lights. Nashoba Valley Olympia is on your left about 1 mile from last set of lights, just over the Acton town line into Boxborough.

From the West: Take Route 2 East to Route 495 South.  Then follow directions from the North above

Q: When are your public skating hours?
A: From September to June, our Public Skating Hours are:
M-F 10:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Sat 3:15-4:45 p.m.
Sun 3:15-5:30 p.m.
Summer: Sundays 3:15-5:30 p.m. (additional hours TBA)

Q: How much does it cost for public skating?
A: The cost is $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for 12 & under.

Q: Do you have skate rentals?
A: Skate rentals are offered through the pro shop, Boston Ice Skates. The cost is $6.00 per pair.

Q: Do have skating passes?
A: Yes. An adult pass is $45 for 10 sessions, and a child’s pass is $ 27 for 10 sessions.

Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: No, we accept cash or checks.

Q: Are helmets required to skate?
A: They are required for all learn to skate classes. They are encouraged for public skating.

Q: Do you rent helmets?
A: No, you must bring your own helmet.

Q: Can I assist my child on the ice during public skate?
A: Yes, as long as you are wearing skates. No shoes are allowed on the ice surface.

Q: Can I bring a crate or a chair on the ice to help my child skate?
A: No, skating aids are not allowed on the ice.

Q: Can I bring my hockey stick on the ice during public skating?
A:  No, sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice.

Q: Can I practice my skating program on the ice during public skating?
A: Programs may not be skated during public skating. You can practice your program on Freestyle Ice sessions.

Q: If I arrive near the end of a public skating session, do I have to pay the full admission amount?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you offer skating lessons?
A: Yes, there are many options for lessons at Nashoba Valley Olympia. Learn to Skate classes are offered by Colonial Figure Skating Club and the ISI Skating School. Private lessons are also available from both programs. Learn to play Hockey is offered by Acton Boxborough Youth Hockey, and Nashoba Youth Hockey. For more information on Classes and Programs,

Q: Do you offer skating lessons for adults?
A: Yes, both ISI Skating School and the Colonial Figure Skating Club offer classes for adults.

Q: Can I rent the ice for a private function?
A: Yes, please contact the main office directly at (978) 263-3020 for availability and pricing.

Q: Can I have a birthday party at NVO?
A: Yes! Birthday parties are held during public skating, and includes a party room and refreshments. For more information on

Q: Do you have pick up hockey?
A: Yes. Please call the rink for times and more information. In addition, there is a Senior Men’s League which welcomes players. For more information on Hockey,
